Infobip India partners with local NGOs to make a difference in local communities
Infobip continues to drive impactful community initiatives in India, focusing on education accessibility and environmental sustainability. Partnering with two esteemed NGOs, Infobip is implementing projects that address critical gaps in learning infrastructure while fostering sustainable practices.

In collaboration with Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, Infobip has launched the BagDesk Distribution Initiative to tackle inadequate learning conditions in government schools across Bangalore, Karnataka. Many government schools across India lack essential resources like writing desks and school bags, negatively affecting students’ posture, concentration, and learning experience. Infobip collaborated with Samarthanam, which developed BagDesks—a sustainable, multifunctional solution made from recycled materials that serves as both a school bag and a desk. Each BagDesk includes a floor mat, pencil pouch, soap pouch, sanitary pouch, waste pouch, and other compartments.
Aligned with Infobip’s commitment to inclusive education, community engagement, and sustainability, the company partnered with Samarthanam to distribute 1,200 BagDesks to students from various government schools based in Bangalore.
The distribution kicked off in February 2025 at Government Primary School Kaverinagar, Mahadevapura, where Bippers and Samarthanam representatives engaged with students and handed out the first batch of 100 BagDesks. As the initiative progressed, during February additional deliveries were made to multiple government schools across the city, with Infobip volunteers actively participating in the distribution efforts. The final event, scheduled for March 5, will conclude the initiative with the distribution of the remaining BagDesks, ensuring that 1,200 students have access to a more comfortable and practical learning setup.
This Initiative reflects Infobip & Samarthanam’s shared commitment to fostering accessibility in education while championing environmental sustainability.
Infobip has also partnered with CCDT non-profit organization (Committed Communities Development Trust) to launch the Green & Clean Village Initiative, aimed at addressing challenges such as poor waste management, power shortages, and lack of advanced learning solutions in rural areas of Vikramgad district, Maharashtra.
Through extensive collaboration overall several months, Infobip and CCDT successfully installed solar panels with battery backup and set up a fully equipped computer lab at Uparale Zilla Parishad School in Vikramgad. These solar panels will support the school’s energy consumption, while the computer lab will expand learning opportunities for students.
Beyond infrastructure improvements, Infobip and CCDT are committed to sustainable behavioural change at the grassroots level. As part of this initiative, capacity-building programs will be conducted for students and teachers of Uprale Zilla Parishad School in Vikramgad. Additionally, awareness programs on climate change, waste management, and sustainable practices will be held for the residents of Uparale Village during February and March 2025.
