ESG strategy

“At Infobip, we truly believe that the right way to do business is to be mindful and take care of our people, the communities and the environment we operate in. Incorporating ESG principles in our everyday work and our long-term business strategy might not always be easy, but we see it as a must. Our ESG report shares how our people, products and vision help build a better and more connected world.”

2022 HIGHLIGHTS

Infobip by numbers

We see ourselves as humble engineers led by our philosophy of empowering people, being customer obsessed, learning by doing, and most of all – having passion for technology and innovation.

Connecting With Our Environment

We have adjusted our everyday business and work-life to pursue sustainable initiatives such as waste collection and reduction in our offices, energy and waste conservation, recycling, environmentally friendly travel and many more.

Our goal is to see business conducted in an ecologically and socially responsible manner, ensuring that company success and development do not exploit local or international natural resources.

Carbon footprint

We regularly measure the carbon footprint of our business, capturing direct and indirect energy consumption by the company. The largest proportion of our emissions (80%) is associated with the value chain (scope 3). Our scope 1 accounted for 1 % and scope 2 for 18% of total emissions.

Our goal is to see business conducted in an ecologically and socially responsible manner, ensuring that company success and development do not exploit local or international natural resources.

A+ Campuses

Minimal heat waste

Campus buildings are well insulated to minimize heat waste and keep things warm in winter, and cool in summer.

Environmentally-friendly travel policies

We actively promote responsible and sustainable principles across our travel policies. Even before the pandemic, virtual meetings were standard practice.

Energy management

This is currently handled on an office-by-office basis, but across the board, we regularly assess our energy consumption and optimize for efficiencies.

Automated, energy-efficient lighting

We use automated lighting systems, based on timers and motion sensors, and energy-efficient LED bulbs throughout the buildings

Reduce, reuse, recycle

We banned single-use kitchenware and included extensive recycling facilities.

Water efficiency

Our taps have been engineered to reduce water waste by up to 50%.

Drinking water

Water is heated exclusively by solar power, and our green outdoor spaces are served by a rainwater irrigation system.

Minimal food waste

Canteen meals must be ordered a day in advance to optimize planning and minimize food waste. We use local food suppliers to help minimize the environmental footprint of our food and to help support the local economy.

Connecting With Our People

Our team of more than 3,500 engaged Bippers across six continents is the most valuable thing we have as a company.

We know that our achievements and capabilities are the sums of our individual differences, life experiences, knowledge, self-expression and capabilities.

Therefore we embrace and celebrate our employees’ differences in age, color, disability, ethnicity, family or marital status, gender identity or expression, language, national origin, physical and cognitive capabilities, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, veteran status, and other characteristics that make our employees unique.

Connecting with our communities

Transparency, integrity, and respect underpin our strong governance in all business operations.
This immutable approach gains and maintains the trust of our stakeholders, and that is why we choose to accept only the highest possible standards of ethical business conduct. We have set up several global sustainability processes, boosted the climate work and placed more structure around social impact and ESG practices in general through the processes set up for the Infobip Foundation, regional CSR groups and our environmental efforts.

Sustainability and responsible business are not only ethical issues, nor a source of discretionary cost, but long-term necessities for commercial performance.
We conducted a double-materiality assessment in 2022, examining the economic, environmental, and social issues that matter most to our business and stakeholders.

Priority issues:

  • Community engagement & investment
  • Business ethics & compliance
  • Data protection & privacy
  • Fair pay & conditions
  • Responsible sourcing & supply chain management
  • Carbon emissions and energy efficiency

Our Social Impact in 2022 was powerful.

We donated more than half a million euros through Infobip Foundation, regional CSR groups and initiatives to support Ukrainian refugees.
We donated 150+ laptops and other office equipment.

We planted 800 trees worldwide as part of the Treedom Infobip forest.
We connected to what truly matters during holidays: collected food, raised money, volunteered and gave our best to make holidays happy for families in need.

More than 60 Bippers all over the world are part of Regional CSR Groups and work on these CSR projects to make sure Infobip’s impact in local communities is strong. And we want to continue being a good partner and help communities grow.

We added a new volunteering program under Bippers4Community (BipUp Teams) just started in December and we hope to boost our impact even more this year through volunteering.

Ethical and transparent governance

Transparency, integrity, and respect underpin our strong governance in all business operations. This immutable approach gains and maintains the trust of our stakeholders, and that is why we choose to accept only the highest possible standards of ethical business conduct.

We conducted our first materiality assessment in 2021, examining the economic, environmental, and social issues that matter most to its business and stakeholders. Following the assessment, we mapped our priority issues onto the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) to help ensure the firm contributes toward the UN’s goals.
